Velocity controls are settings that determine transaction thresholds for a particular Merchant. These settings can be accessed by logging into the Realtime Payment Manager and navigating to Admin -> Terminals, and then clicking on the appropriate Merchant name in the list that comes up.

The following Velocity controls are available:

Minimum Sale $

Any transaction that falls below the amount defined for this setting will not be processed.

Maximum Sale $

Any transaction that exceeds the amount defined for this setting will not be processed.

Day Volume $

The total dollar amount of all transactions processed through a given Merchant in a day is compared against this value. If a transaction will put the total dollar amount of all transactions for the day above this threshold, the transaction will not be processed.

Day Card Usage $

This setting determines the total dollar amount permitted to be charged against a single card in a day.
